In Service of a More Just, Humane, and Sustainable World: Assessing Undergraduates’ Social Justice Learning through Curricular, Co-Curricular, and Institutional Data

Santa Clara University integrates social justice learning outcomes into course-aligned community-based learning and co-curricular experiences. We present our integrated assessment strategy using embedded course assignments, quantitative and qualitative analysis of local surveys, and NSSE and HERI results. We discuss improvements in assessment tools, and programs for faculty and community partners.
