Topic: Diversity and Cultural Competency Strategies
Presenters share about intentional planning and strategies implemented in recent years to create an environment for staff/student-initiated programming and resources that deeply engage diversity and inclusion discourses/issues on campus. These activities encompass an ethnically and religiously diverse student body and staff evolving from a traditionally Christian seminary environment.
During this session the presenter will share the evolution of our Scholars in Service Program established to recruit and retain African American/Black and Hispanic/Latino nurses. Information about the program as it relates to the federal health care strategic priorities, its growth, and wraparound support services will be shared.
