Student Involvement in the Assessment and Accreditation Process

The Center for Student Leadership & Development at Concordia University Irvine helped students develop assessment plans for their co-curricular activities. The results were shared with a WSCUC visiting team during an accreditation visit, with faculty at research and assessment day, and with students during passing period. The students will discuss their assessment process, plans for closing the loop, and strategies for sharing the results with multiple stakeholders, including you!

#AskWASC: How @ConcordiaIrvine Went Social with WASC (WSCUC)

“WASC is coming” [blank stares] “Did you see the new Disneyland prices?” said everyone. Although WASC (WSCUC) accreditation affects 100% of a campus, only about 10% actually know what it is. Concordia University Irvine decided to change all that with a Social Media Marketing campaign directed to all students, staff, and faculty. Using the hashtag #AskWASC, social media was used to engage the campus in polls, quizzes, pictures, questions, and prizes.
