CSUF strives to engage students in High Impact Practices (HIPs). As a quality assurance mechanism, the university developed an assessment and evaluation matrix, and piloted data collection through an innovative mobile application that allows students to self-track their HIP experiences in real time.

Stimulating an Innovative Faculty Culture for the Public Good

Mobile technology for learning and teaching has the potential to transform higher education. Fresno State’s innovative mobile learning program, DISCOVERe, will serve as the launching point for a conversation about the promise and possible pitfalls of mobile teaching and learning in higher education. Teaching students how to effectively utilize this emerging technology has the promise of positively impacting our communities.
